Look who was back just in time to capture the first summit finish in the 2017 Giro d’Italia. The Grubers took to Blockhaus for the first real mountain test in stage nine of the Giro.
At the finish line, Quintana won the stage and was awarded the pink jersey as the new leader in the 100th Giro d’Italia – but it wasn’t just the overall leader’s jersey that changed shoulders. Formolo moved up to eighth overall and received the white leader’s jersey of the young rider competition.
“For sure the white jersey is nice,” said Formolo. The Grubers’ photos of this stage are also nice for sure, so feast your eyes on this wonderful gallery before the Giro continues with the individual time trial on Tuesday.
